Bishop René Henry Gracida has died at the age of 102. A veteran of World War II who flew combat missions aboard bombers before entering the priesthood, Gracida later served as Bishop of Pensacola-Tallahassee and then as Bishop of Corpus Christi, Texas, from 1983 to 1997. In his later years, he became known for questioning the legitimacy of Pope Francis’s papacy. Requiescat in pace.
From Diocese of Corpus Christi At the age of 102, Bishop René Henry Gracida passed away on the morning of May 1, 2026. We are deeply grateful for his faithful service as our shepherd for 14 years.” Previously, he was appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee in Florida (1975–1983) and as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Miami in Florida (1971–1975). Prominent Vatican journalists Edward Pentin and Diane Montagna decried the Vatican’s recent reception and celebration of the Anglican female “archbishop” of Canterbury as scandalous and “absurd.” Montagna on Monday quoted from Pope Leo XIV’s address to Sarah Mullally in which he referred to “new problems” that “have arisen in recent decades, rendering the pathway to full communion” between the Catholic Church and Anglicans “more difficult to discern.” “Of course, chief among these new problems is the fact that a woman dressed in liturgical attire is now being passed off – and celebrated by the Vatican and even by the Pope – as someone who seemingly has valid Orders when she doesn’t – first because she’s a woman and second because she’s an Anglican,” Montagna wrote. She highlighted the fact that Archbishop Flavio Pace, Secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, had gone so far as to “bow” before her and make the Sign of the Cross “as though receiving a real …

They do these things because they hate the Catholic faith and they know Trump will say not a word against it. Billions of American taxpayer dollars will continue to flow freely into Israel .
Justice Department prosecutors in the Biden administration joked about prosecuting Catholic nuns who attended a pro-Trump rally, according to text messages released by Senator Chuck Grassley and reported by DailyWire.com on April 29. Prosecutor Molly Gaston wrote after viewing a photo of nuns wearing habits at the rally: “I would like to take a special assignment of finding and prosecuting them.” Prosecutor Joseph Cooney replied, “I’m with you,” adding that he would like to prosecute “any nun who still wears the head habit.” Grassley obtained the messages during an investigation into Justice Department conduct and condemned the remarks as evidence of bias against religious Americans. #newsHtiwujinop
Now she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived. She found that pretty snake she’d taken in had been revived. “Take me in, oh tender woman , “Take me in, for heaven’s sake, “Take me in oh tender woman,” sighed the snake. Now she clutched him to her bosom, “You’re so beautiful,” she cried. “But if I hadn’t brought you in by now you might have died.” Now she stroked his pretty skin and then she kissed and held him tight . But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite. …“I saved you,” cried that woman. “And you've bit me even, why? “You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to die.” “Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin, “You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in.”
Today, Leo XIV has appointed Monsignor John Gomez as Bishop of Diocese of Laredo, USA. Born in Colombia in 1975, Monsignor Gomez is a priest of the Diocese of Tyler, a canon lawyer trained at the Gregorian in Rome. He has little discernible public media footprint: no notable interviews, personal social-media presence, podcasts, or published ideological essays appear readily available online. Bishop Joseph Strickland appointed him in 2015 as vicar general of Tyler, Texas. The interesting wrinkle is that Monsignor Gomez remained after Bishop Strickland was removed: He served as delegate of the apostolic administrator from 2023–2025, then vicar general again under Bishop Gregory Kelly from 2025. CatholicVote reported in June 2023 that Monsignor Gomez helped organize meetings between the Vatican visitators and diocesan clergy, religious, and laity during the Apostolic Visitation. The Apostolic Visitation was requested by the new prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, then-Archbishop Robert …Дагы
Gomez was vicar general in Tyler under Strickland, but was nevertheless the one who arranged clergy from the diocese to meet with Vatican investigators sent to assess Strickland’s leadership.
And what about McElroy's new auxiliary bishops? One appears to be a pro-LGBT ex-military man. And the bishop of Wheeling-Charleston, an undocumented immigrant bishop, a supporter of criminal immigrants, and an enemy of the Traditional Latin Mass. What a bunch of scum; they'll all go to Hell like the pieces of shit they are.

Despite originally being announced as one of the event’s featured attractions, Portuguese priest and DJ Guilherme Peixoto will no longer perform at the opening-night concert of Rouen’s 2026 Jeanne d’Arc celebrations on 14 May. The Archdiocese of Rouen, France, said that Padre Guilherme had requested to postpone his appearance. This followed public criticism of his inclusion in the festival programme. Critics questioned the appropriateness of a priest performing electronic music during celebrations dedicated to Joan of Arc. He will be replaced by French DJ Charles B, who will be accompanied by a local opening act. Unlike Padre Guilherme, the replacement performers are not clergy and their performance is not framed by religion. Picture: Padre Guilherme, #newsJkmrzqlodl

The United States Department of Justice released on April 30 a 548-page report on how the Biden administration targeted believing Christians, including traditional Catholics. The report concludes that the Biden administration “zealously pursued actions to limit Christians’ ability to act in accordance with their faith,” particularly those holding traditional biblical views on abortion, sexuality, and gender. Among the report’s findings is that the FBI’s Richmond Field Office treated traditional Catholics as potential extremists, including churches associated with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X. The FBI expanded its scrutiny after interviewing Xavier Louis Lopez, a self-described “radical traditional Catholic Clerical Fascist” convicted of possessing destructive devices. Agents opened a formal law-enforcement “Guardian profile” on his church and interviewed his priest, despite the parish having no involvement in his crimes. Agents also tracked the priest’s jail visits to Lopez …Дагы
Footage released by the Israeli police shows a man attacking a French nun in broad daylight on Mount Zion in Jerusalem on Tuesday. The nun, who is a researcher at the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem, was thrown to the ground and sustained head injuries. A 36-year-old suspect was arrested on the same day.

The posessed act this way, this is not a case of just a man being "mental", this is posession, look how a man passes by and did nothing to protect her so the attacker did nothingto him... BUT a samaritan rushed and the posessed attacked him once he tries to protect her. Yes, the sun cannot be blocked by my or anyone's finger, both Jews and muslims are taught to hate outside of their religions since birth, AND our Lord warned us, they don’t hate you, as they hated Him first. After seeing this, did you developed hate in your heart? The lesson here is, despite the hate, we should Love, despite the anger, you should give your other cheek, despite the impotence you should continue carry your cross, there will be a time for action, as this didn’t happen in front of us, but if it did, you should be samaritans and not pharisees. Pray for those who protect and those who endure theur crosses well, pray for our clergy and religious, asthey swore to drink the chalice of suffering, this for this …Дагы
From Newsweek Pope Leo XIV has appointed three new U.S. bishops who have expressed criticism of President Donald Trump's actions. Washington auxiliary bishop Evelio Menjivar has been named as the new bishop for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston covering West Virginia, according to the Catholic Standard. Father Gary Studniewski and Father Robert Boxie III have also been named as new auxiliary bishops for the Archdiocese of Washington. Menjivar previously criticized the Trump administration's immigration policies, writing in the the National Catholic Reporter last April: "the federal government has pursued a 'shock and awe' campaign of aggressive threats and highly visible operations of questionable legality that go far beyond mere immigration 'enforcement.'" Boxie previously expressed concern over Trump's efforts to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the U.S. "In a lot of ways we have made great progress, but in so many ways, I feel like we're regressing," Boxie …Дагы
Bishop Marian Eleganti wrote to Pope Leo XIV about widespread homosexuality among priests and its significance in the abuse crisis in the Church. He mentioned this on Marian-Eleganti.ch on April 24: "All church studies on abuse show a disproportionately high number of male victims. It does little good to turn a blind eye to this." He also drew attention to the numerous cases of sexual abuse occurring outside the Church, emphasising that society is primarily focused on and scandalised by those within the clergy. #newsZltfzndgfn
In one or another way, Prevost is part of the problem. So you should ask others that question. Perhaps at a session of an imperfect council that you should have convened a long time ago and still need to and should convene. The sooner the better.
The church Saint-Cyriaque in Montenach, France, was severely damaged by fire on April 30. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
This is exactly what Vatican Is doing to our Chruch! And almost no one cares. Our Church is burning down and our bishops and cardinals are hiding, don't care or are aiding the fire
Carmelite community of Campiégne martyrs to close: The historic Carmelite community of Compiègne, which is now based in Jonquières, France, is closing. The six remaining nuns have announced that they will be leaving due to the ageing nature of the community and a lack of new vocations. Founded in 1641, the community is best known for the sixteen Carmelite martyrs of Compiègne who were executed during the French Revolution in 1794 and canonised by Pope Francis in 2024. The monastery in Jonquières has been home to the community since 1992. The nuns are leaving over the coming months, not all at once.
