French Bishop Removes Three Conservative Priests After Parish Disputes

The Diocese of Amiens, northern France, has announced that it will not renew the mission of three conservative priests from the Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon after months of “growing tensions” within the parishes.
Fathers François-Régis Favre, Éloi Legrand, and Pierre-Marie Brochery, began serving in the parishes of Albert, Bray-sur-Somme, Mailly-Maillet, and Acheux in September 2025. They will depart at the end of the current pastoral year.
In a statement released on April 27, Bishop Gérard Le Stang said the decision followed “a long period of reflection” and consultations with diocesan clergy and parishioners. He described the situation as having created a “deep and lasting disruption” within the communities.
Cassocks, Novus Ordo in Latin
The priests drew criticism from some parishioners for wearing cassocks, celebrating the Novus Ordo partly in Latin, and emphasizing moral teaching.
Complaints also emerged regarding what some described as divisive preaching.

Leo XIV's Homosexual Designer: "Story of Acceptance"

On 27 April, Leo XIV’s liturgical vestment designer, Filippo Sorcinelli, spoke to DailyMail.co.uk about the papal liturgical wardrobe.
Sorcinelli is a homosexual who uses imagery of sadomasochism in his work as a perfumer. He works with the Vatican's liturgical office to design vestments, not directly with Leo XIV.
He said that the Pope does not stage spectacles: "Each visual choice contributes to building a language of reliability, balance and quiet authority."
The means of communication are fabrics, colours and shapes. "Every detail is designed to support the Pope’s role, not draw attention away from it."
Leo XIV has leaned into classic papal tailoring, reinstating details such as cufflinks and structured vestments that emphasise form and precision.
Sorcinelli has never perceived a conflict between his faith and his vice: "I have never viewed faith and homosexuality as adversaries, but rather as a creative tension that fuels my work."
He added that his experience within the Church …Ētahi atu

Tucho Repeats: German Blessing for Homosexuals Lacks Vatican Approval

Cardinal Tucho Fernández repeated to VaticanNews.va on May 6 that the German “blessing guide” for homosexuals and other couples in mortal sin does not have Vatican approval. The pro-homosexual cardinal is a soft-porn author and Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith.
He stated that a letter he sent in November 2024 regarding an earlier draft of the German bishops’ blessing guidelines remains fully applicable to the final version approved in April 2025. The German bishops’ document in question is titled Blessing Gives Strength to Love. They falsely claimed Vatican support for their guidelines.
The Vatican’s release of the November 2024 letter was “in agreement with Pope Leo XIV.”
“That letter is the only and final response,” Tucho told Bishop Stephan Ackermann of Trier, chairman of the German bishops’ liturgy commission, during a meeting in the Vatican on November 12, 2025.
Tucho explained that although the final German text differs somewhat from the original draft …Ētahi atu

The homosexual Tucho defends the sacrilegious and informal "blessing" of homosexual concubines—all while using the Germans as a scapegoat to create the impression that he is defending the Faith, given that the latter reveal the true face of apostasy and seek to formalize this sacrilegious pseudo-blessing of homosexual concubines. Bergoglio employed this very same cunning and diabolical strategy in Argentina to support the law regarding civil homosexual "pseudo-marriage," while simultaneously shielding his apostasy behind the argument that such civil homosexual unions could not be compared to the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Apparently Tucho does not understand Synodality. The local bishops will consult the local population and determine the local response. Africa can say, "No" to any blessings and Germany can say, "Yes" to every blessing.

Knock and the Door Will Open: The Long Road to Bangkok Thailand - Catholic League

Fr. Gordon J. MacRae
(This story originally appeared on Beyond These Stone Walls)
I wrote a post recently entitled “Book of Tobit: The Angel Raphael on the Road with Pornchai Moontri.” It was an allegory, like the Book of Tobit itself. An allegory is a sort of genre of Sacred Scripture in which a story is told more for its meaning than for its historical value. Every parable of Jesus falls into this same genre. A part of the story of Tobit, and his son Tobias and their interactions with the Archangel Raphael in disguise were all part of the allegory. That does not mean the allegory did not happen. It means only that the truth of the story does not depend upon someone believing it. There was one aspect of the Book of Tobit story that became a centerpiece of my blog linked above. At the beginning and the end of the Book of Tobit there is a mysterious dog whose presence, meaning and purpose remain a mystery.
My friend Pornchai Max and his grueling assimilation to his native Thailand after …

Council's Peritus: "Vatican II Liturgical Reform Was Stillborn"

Selected quotes from the book A Wider View of the Second Vatican Council by Archimandrite Boniface Luykx. Republished in English by Angelico Press, Brooklyn, NY, 2025.
Archimandrite Boniface Luykx (1915–2004) was a Belgian Premonstratensian canon regular, professor, and liturgical scholar. In the 1940s and 1950s he was among the leading figures of the Catholic liturgical movement and taught for many years at the University of Notre Dame’s Summer School of Liturgy. From 1960 to 1971 he served as a missionary in Africa, where he founded the Monastère de l’Assomption and taught at Lovanium University in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). Beginning in 1959, he was a member of the Preparatory Commission for the Liturgy and later served as a liturgical consultant and expert (peritus) at the Second Vatican Council, as well as one of the authors of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (Sacrosanctum Concilium).
After the Council, he became a member of the Consilium …

Synod Proposes Consulting Non-Believers and Ex-Catholics in Bishop Selection

Synod.va published on May 5 the final report of Study Group number 7 on the selection of bishops: “In the selection of a bishop, it is necessary to consider, among other qualities, his ‘synodal competencies’.” (page 3)
At least, the document also mentions Catholic criteria: “Among the qualities sought in a bishop are moral integrity, doctrinal orthodoxy, pastoral sensitivity, leadership ability, and the capacity to administer the Church’s goods.” (page 3)
The main idea of the report is expanding lay influence in bishop selection: “The cathedral chapter… finance council… lay council… youth and the poor should also be convened.” (page 4)
The report proposes that, when a diocese is vacant, a committee be established to work with the Apostolic Nuncio, consisting of priests, consecrated religious, and laypersons. (page 5)
Informants should include women, youth, academics, ecclesial movement members, the poor, marginalized persons, and representatives of Indigenous or minority communities. …Ētahi atu

Tonight at Castel Gandolfo, Pope Leo XIV responded to the criticism he has received from Donald Trump: "From the first moment, I have spoken of peace. The mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel and to promote peace. If anyone wants to criticise me for doing so, they should do so truthfully. The Church has spoken out against nuclear weapons for years, so there is no doubt about that."

If anyone wants to criticize me for proclaiming the Gospel, let them do so truthfully. The Church has spoken out against all nuclear weapons for years, so there is no doubt about that”

Church in Mozambique Destroyed in Islamist Attack

Islamists attacked the parish of St. Louis de Montfort in Meza, Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique, on April 30.
According to Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), militants entered the parish in the afternoon and destroyed the church, parish offices, missionaries’ residence, and kindergarten.
Buildings were set on fire and the historic church was reduced to rubble.
The parish was founded in 1946 and was one of the main Catholic landmarks in the region.
Bishop António Juliasse of Pemba said civilians were captured and forced to listen to speeches during the attack. The Cameroonian missionaries serving the parish were not present when the attackers arrived and were unharmed.
There were no confirmed deaths during the April 30 attack.
The insurgency in Cabo Delgado has continued since 2017 and has caused thousands of deaths and displaced more than one million people. Church officials say at least 118 churches and chapels have been destroyed during the conflict.

Vatican Report: "Sin… Does Not Consist in the Homosexuals’ Relationship…"

Today, Synod.va published the final report from Study Group 9 on theological criteria and synodal methodologies for discerning doctrinal, pastoral, and ethical questions. It is de facto on homosexuality.
The report rejects the term “controversial” and says such matters should be treated as “emerging” issues (page 6).
Repeatedly, it speaks of an alleged “paradigm shift” in how the Church interprets the teaching: “The commitment to practising the synodal nature of the Church implies the implementation of a ‘paradigm shift.’” (page 8)
The final report even analogizes present ecclesial disputes to the Jerusalem Council’s overturning of circumcision requirements.
It demands that synodal outcomes should not be predetermined by “pre-established formulas.” And: “The Church’s mission is not a matter of abstractly proclaiming and deductively applying principles...” (page 9)
The final report invents “the stability of a healthy affective relationship” in homosexual contexts as a positive …Ētahi atu
